Great Lakes Emerging Champions
Great Lakes Emerging Champions Mini-Grants are intended to increase green infrastructure implementation capacity in communities of 250,000 people or less in the Great Lakes Basin.
With support of up to $15,000, communities can develop strategies to overcome the barriers they currently face in implementing green infrastructure.
There are four general focus areas for projects:
- Local code/ordinance review and revision
- Green infrastructure operation and maintenance training, procedures, and workforce development
- Developing strategies for sustainable funding streams
- Other projects – examples include feasibility studies, tool development, education and outreach programs, or other projects that address implementation barriers.
Application are due July 31, 2019.
