DESCRIPTION

Low impact development (LID), an innovative stormwater management approach that treats, infiltrates, filters, and retains runoff at the source, is increasingly being used for stormwater management in Thunder Bay. Construction of LID practices involves techniques and specifications that are complimentary to, but differ from traditional practices. Knowledge of proper LID technologies and construction methods minimizes costly repairs. Experienced course instructors from Credit Valley Conservation, a leader for LID in Ontario will present valuable lessons learned from LID examples in Ontario and similar cold climate regions.
